Kahit may 2 dagdag ahensiya, Palasyo ‘di hihirit sa badyet

HINDI manghihingi sa Kongreso ng karagdagang pondo ang Malacanang para sa 2011 sa kabila ng paglikha ni Pangulong Noynoy Aquino sa Truth Commission at Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office.

Sinabi ni Executive Secretary Paquito N. Ochoa Jr na tinapyasan pa nga nila ang kanilang budget request para sa susunod na fiscal year ng 4.3 porsiyento o P4.075 billion mula sa nakalipas na administrasyon na P4.259 billion bilang bahagi na rin ng pinaiiral na  cost-cutting policy ng Chief Executive.

Ito rin aniya ang kaparehong budget ba inaprubahan  Committee on Appropriations ng Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso noong nakaraang linggo.

“To keep the expenses low, the Office of the President reduced the spending plan across the various services within Malacañang and abolished 10 attached offices. It has also realigned the money from the Palace intelligence funds and the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission to cover the funding requirements of the two new offices,” ayon kay Ochoa.

Sinabi pa rin niya na ang susunod na pondo para sa Maintenance, Operating and Other Expenses (MOOE), ay bumaba ng  P163.9 million, na may kasamang with professional services kung saan ay may malaking kaltas na  P152.7 million. Mayroon din aniyang kaltas sa gastusin sa printing, advertising, travel at representation allowance. Kris Jose
