“Let me just say that your comments would have been appropriate if it were made during the campaign period, when partisanship was the norm and our loyalties were to our respective national candidates. But the campaign season is already behind us. Our people have moved on, and it is expected of us who now occupy positions in government to set aside our partisanship,” panunumbat ni Binay kay Lacierda.

“You may not like the fact that I won the Vice Presidency, but it is a fact. We now belong to the Executive Department,  and I am also a member of the cabinet. Please be reminded that as the Presidential Spokesperson,  your statements are interpreted as official statements  of the President. The President is the President of the People, not only of those who campaign for him. And as his Spokesman, your statements your foster inclusiveness, especially  within the Official Family and the Executive Department ,” pagsipi sa liham  ni  Binay kay Lacierda na may petsang Setyembre 22, 2010.

“I have no problem working with other political groups and personalities. Even  if I run under another political party, as Vice President– and one who considers himself a good personal friend of the President and his family – I am committed to extending my full support to this administration. I do hope that we can work together as professionals, and not as partisans,” pagwawakas ng bise presidente.   Linda Bohol
