One more Ampatuan arrested
POLICE operatives have arrested another suspect in the infamous Maguindanao massacre inside a school in Shariff Aguak town, police said yesterday.
Reports reaching Camp Crame identified the suspect as Mohades Ampatuan, one of the over 100 suspects in the gruesome massacre who remain at large.
The suspect is a member of a once powerful political clan in Central Mindanao and said to be behind the gruesome massacre of 57 persons, 31 of them journalists, in Maguindanao last November 23.
Chief Supt. Felicisimo Khu, chief of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations (DIPO) for Western Mindanao, said Ampatuan was nabbed by joint elements of DIPO-WM and Police Regional Office 12.
The suspect worked as a helper at the school canteen of Shariff Aguak National High-School.
Ampatuan will be turn-over to the custody of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Region 12 office for proper disposition. Anthony Vargas
