Light plane crashes in Cebu lake
A LIGHT commercial aircraft with two persons on board and on a flight-training mission went down on a lake in an island off Cebu province yesterday morning, police reports said.
Reports reaching the police’s Central Operation Center in Camp Crame, said a single-engine Cessna plane went down at around 10:45 a.m. on Lake Danao in Brgy. Campo, San Francisco town in Camotes Island.
The plane (RP-C4421), owned by a certain Joseph Bahinting, is reportedly piloted by a certain Captain John Almiro with an unidentified student at the time when it went down for unknown reason.
No casualties were reported at the said incident, which is now being investigated by aviation authorities in Cebu. Anthony Vargas
