Patriots, Slammers share ABL lead
THE Philippine Patriots and the Thailand Slammers take the share of lead after posting similar convincing win in the Asian Basketball League elimination.
The Patriots hurdled Brunei Barracudas, 72-67, while the Slammers beat Satria Muda Beretama 84-63.
The Patriots played sans ex-PBA import Anthony Johnson who is still down with hamstring injury and aggravated with the ouster of American recruit Donald Little due to foul in the last 3:45 second of the extra period.
Patriots got the needed victory as former La Salle hotshot Junjun Cabatu and ex-PBA guard Egay Billones provided the important points in the homestretch.
