10 girls rescued from sex trafficker
Police yesterday announced the rescue of ten young girls who were drugged then trafficked for sex and the arrest of a gay pimp during an entrapment operation last Tuesday in Quezon City.
Operatives of the Women and Children Protection Division (WCPD) of the Criminal Investigation and Detective Group (CIDG) rescued the victims, whose ages range between 14 and 20, from a house on Mother Ignacia st., South Triangle Homes in Quezon City.
The operations, which resulted to the arrest of Jelhson Aguirre, 25, of Binangonan, Rizal was made following a request of police assistance from the management of TV5, said by CIDG-WCPD chief Senior Supt. Jean Fajardo.
Fajardo said the arrested sex trafficker told investigators that he did not personally know the girls and got only to know them a few days back.
“As earlier reported to us by our informant, the young girls, nine of whom are minors, were baited and lured to drugs and then peddled to customers in Quezon City and nearby places,” Fajardo said.
The police official added that all the rescued victims came from Barangays Dalig, Calumpang, Batingan, Layunan and Munting Bundok all in Binangonan, Rizal.
Operatives were also able to seize from Aguirre a transparent plastic sachet containing shabu.
Charges of qualified trafficking in person were filed against Aguirre, Michael Arabit, Jefferson Paralejas and Jeffrey Roxas, the police official said.
Aguirre was also charged with violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. (Anthony Vargas)
