3rd most KFR wanted man nabbed by NBI at NAIA
A notorious kidnap fr ransom suspect long wanted for ten years of hiding was nabbed by goverment agents yesterday after he attempted to go back in the country because of illness.
NBI Director MAgtanggol Gatdula identified the suspect as Rolando Fajardo, number 3 most wanted suspect in the order of battle of the bureau and even in the Philippine National Police (PNP). Gatdula added that Fajardo is number one most wanted suspect for kidnap for ransom (KFR) for having nine cases of KFR.
He had gone into hiding and went to Rome to avoid arrest. Gatudla said they were informed by NBI assets that Fajardo will be bound for the country yesterday on board a Singaporean Airlines.
And as Fajardo landed NBI agents proceeded to the plane he was on board and arrested the suspect.
Gatdula said the suspect had attempted four times to return to the country but choose not to do so as he sensed his arrest.
Fajardo denied the allegation saying he was not the one being hunted by the law and instead told newsmen that he came to the country for medical treatment over his gall bladder sickness.
He was brought directly to the NBI headquarters in Manila for interrogation and filing of charges.
