Manileños to enjoy free viewing of Pacman fight
MANILA residents will get to enjoy a free screening of the much-anticipated boxing fight between seven-division champion Manny Pacquiao and former champion Antonio Margarito for the super-welterweight championship at the Cowboys Stadium in Texas in the United States on Sunday.
The chief of staff of Manila Mayor Alfredo S. Lim will give the city residents Ricardo de Guzman said the live telecast of the fight will be shown in the following sports centers in the six districts of Manila: Tondo Sports Complex (near Tondo Church) District I, Patricia Sports Complex (Flora Street, Gagalangin, Tondo) District II, Rasac Covered Court (Alvarez Street corner Rizal Avenue) District III, Dapitan Sports Complex (Instruccion Street, Sampaloc) District IV, San Andres Sports Complex (San Andres Street, Malate) District V and Teresa Covered Court (Teresa Street, Sta. Mesa) District VI.
Lim ordered that large screens be installed in the said venues to provide the residents with a good view of the fight.
The mayor also ordered that complimentary tickets be given to residents on a first-come-first-served basis through the barangay halls located in Manila’s six districts. Jerry S. Tan
