Nakasaad sa packaging design ng product line ng Bamsnacks na, “Bamboo shoot chips and candies are a delicious, healthy and unique snack”, a reminder that bamboo shoots are low in calories and fat, and rich in fiber and potassium.”

Ayon naman kay Domingo, “While bamboo is well-known for its huge, ever-increasing variety of applications, the potential of bamboo as food is not yet fully explored, and significant growth is still possible. With the growing demand for organic food, and the popularity of bamboo, there is a niche market for Bamsnacks.”

Ang Hang Seng Bank, Federation of Hong Kong Industries, Madrid Pavillion, at International Network for Bamboo and Rattan ang sponsors ng competition.

Kabilang sa mga hurado sina Lonely Planet founder Tony Wheeler; Hong Kong fashion designers Vivienne Tam and Kan Tai-keung; Colombian architect Simon Velez; Hong Kong architect Nelson Chen, Australian restaurateur Michelle Garnaut; at German scientist Walter Liese.
