“We cannot say that we have to mobilize our forces because we have no forces to mobilize in the first place. I hope that issue will not escalate into a full war.  Ito ang sinasabi namin na this is not a legal issue but in case that we have to airlift everybody there using our C-130 ay baka hindi na makabalik iyon,”  ani Suarez.

Sinabi naman ni Asst. Minority Leader Mitos Magsaysay na dapat maging aktibo ang Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) at Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

“They (DFA and DOLE) should prepare all our OFWs who are in Korea. If the war escalates dapat alam ng mga OFW kung ano ang gagawin nila,” aniya.

“The government should be prepared also to spend money to bring OFW out of Korea. I would support any additional funding requirement just to ship them out from Korea to the Philippines,” dagdag ni Mitos.

Gayundin ang pananaw ni Iloilo Rep. Jerry Treñas. “The Philippines should start devising  contingency plans for a possible evacuation  of Filipinos in South Korea… This reckless display of aggression by North Korea is very serious because this nation is believed to be armed with nuclear (weapons).”  Meliza Maluntag
