Sen. Trillanes bagong TATAP president

MAS lalong lumakas ang samahan ng table tennis matapos maihalal bilang pinakabagong pangulo ng Table Tennis Association of the Philippines (TATAP) kamakailan si Senador Antonio Trillanes.

Sinabi ng tanggapan ng senador, itinalaga si Trillanes bilang acting president ng TATAP ng board of trustees na may unanimous approval ng mga regional president at member organizations.

Pinalitan ni Trillanes si Jose Ortalla Jr., na siyang kumatawan bilang pangalawang pangulo habang naka-on leave naman si TATAP head Sr. Supt. Cesar Hawthorne Binag para sa isang taong scholarship sa abroad.

“Trillanes was thrilled to make a difference in the sport closest to his heart, having played table tennis in high school and during his cadet days at the Philippine Military Academy,” ayon kay Ortalla.

Regular na naglalaro pa rin si Trillanes ng table tennis sa Camp Crame.

“He immediately accepted when he was offered the position. Majority of the members believe he can promote table tennis in the country,” giit pa ni Ortalla.

Ayon kay Ortalla, layunin ng sendor na i-pokus ang pagbubuo ng isang malakas at matatag na pambansang koponan dahil isa ang table tennis sa lahat ng sports na magaling ang ating bansa sa buong mundo.   Ernie Reyes
