CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY—THE newly installed officer-in-charge of the Lanao del Sur Provincial Police Office (LDSPPO) yesterday said he will conduct a dialogue with officials of the municipality of Piagapo in Lanao del Sur to discuss the real role of the local government in recent kidnapping incidents.
Senior Supt. Pedrito delos Reyes he specifically wants to know why the town seemed to have become the favorite hiding place of kidnappers.
Piagapo, which is bounded by the Islamic City of Marawi, the municipality of Saguiaran and the municipality of Marantao, also appeared to be the place where kidnappers prefer to release their victims.
“Many of our people are wondering why the local government officials of Piagapo are not doing anything to clear their names since it is clear that the town is one of the hiding places of kidnappers,” Delos Reyes said.
Last Tuesday, three kidnap victims were separately released in Piagapo town. Albus D. Estabas
