4 robbers killed in Nueva Ecija
MANILA, Philippines –– Four members of a notorious robbery-gang were killed during an encounter with police operatives on Monday night in Munoz City, Nueva Ecija, reports said Tuesday.
Reports reaching Camp Crame, the police national headquarters in Manila, identified the three of the four slain robbery gang members as Alberto Quintog, Ricardo Cutang and Rolando Rotol.
The reports said the four slain robbery gang members were members of the Amihan robbery group that operates and involved in string of robbery incidents in Central Luzon.
The reports said the a police patrol spotted the four suspects on board a motorcycle and were planning to rob a unidentified businesswoman in Brgy. Bical.
When the police patrol was about to approach the suspects, one of them drew a gun and fired at the policemen resulting into an exchange of fire and killing of the four robbery suspects, the reports said.
The reports added that the policemen were able to seize from the slain suspects a .45 caliber pistols, two .38 caliber revolver, one .22 pistol and two rolls of duck tape. Anthony Vargas
