NCRPO distributes new weapons to Metro SWATs
MEMBERS of Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team in Metro Manila received new tactical equipment and weaponry boosting their capability against criminal elements.
National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO) Chief, Director Nicanor Bartolome said, the new equipment and weaponry consist of 440 pieces of .9mm Glock pistols, 379 pieces of armoured ballistics vest and 337 pieces of Kevlar helmets.
These equipment and weaponry, Bartolome said will be distributed to SWAT units of the command’s Regional Public Safety Battalion (RSP) and to the four police’s districts in Metro Manila.
“It is important that our SWAT units get the proper equipment and weapons, but it is also more important that SWAT members have the proper skills, attitude and disposition,” Bartolome said.
The new equipment were turned over to the directors of the Eastern Police District (EPD), Northern Police District (NPD), Quezon City Police District (QCPD) and the commander of the RPSB during turned over ceremony at the NCRPO office in Taguig City.
