P27-M shabu seized from two Chinese and Muslim in Manila – NCRPO
MANILA, Philippines – three persons, two of them are nationals were arrested and some six kilos of shabu worth P27 million were seized from them during a buy-bust operation in Paco, Manila on Tuesday afternoon, police announces on Wednesday.
National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO) Chief, Director Nicanor Bartolome identified the arrested drug dealers as Wendun Chen alias Wilson Tan, 44 and Lianfu Chen, alias Jimmy Tan, 56 both from Fujian, China and Saidali Magdao Muliloda, 45 of Maraw City.
The NCRPO chief said the three suspected drug-dealers were arrested following a buy-bust operations Tuesday evening in front of the 7-11 convenient store along Quirino Ave., in Paco district, Manila.
Seized from the suspects were six kilos of ‘shabu’ with an estimated street value of P27 million, three cellular phones, a Nissan Cefiro Sedan, a Toyota Fortuner SUV and the 10 pieces of P1,000 bill with paper money used in the buy-bust operations.
The NCRPO chief said the buy-bust operation was carried out by elements of the Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (RAID-SOTG) following weeks of surveillance on the activities of the arrested suspects.
The NCRPO chief lauded the RAID-SOTG personnel under Chief Supt. Miguel Laurel, the regional deputy director for operations of the Ncrpo, saying that the arrest of the suspects have prevented the proliferations of illegal drugs in the streets.
The NCRPO chief said that charges for violations of the R.A. 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied against the arrested suspects before the Manila’s Prosecutor’s office. Anthony Vargas
