Patrombon, Grinter wagi sa doubles

MAKARAANG manalo sa una niyang Australian Open singles match nitong Linggo, nagpakitang gilas na naman si Jeson Patrombon nang magpakita ng impresibong panalo sa first Grand Slam event ng taon.

Ang Filipino junior netter ay nakatuwang si Jaden Grinter ng New Zealand kung saan nadurog nila ang tambalang Ryota Kishing Japan at Nikola Milojevic ng Serbia, 6-3, 6-3, sa opening ng boys doubles event sa the Melbourne Park National Tennis Center sa Melbourne.

Ayon kay Manny Tecson, coach ni Patrombon, maganda ang ugnayan nila ni Werner Venter, na siya namang coach ni Grinter dahilan upang gumanda ang puwersa ng dalawa.

“At 6’5″, Jaden has a big serve and he should be serving against the wind while Jeson will serve with the wind so he can use it for more placements and speed on his serve to put pressure on their opponents. They must read where the wind is blowing to capitalize on this and make adjustments in their game,” ayon kay Tecson.
