Town councilor, two others killed in Abra
MANILA, Philippines – An Abra town councilor and two of his companions were killed after they were waylaid by still unidentified gunmen Tuesday night in Bangued town, police reports said on Wednesday.
Initial reports reaching the PNP’s operation center in Camp Crame, identified the slain town official as Montanno Inon, 37 and a councilor of Tineg town and his two companions as Berting Inon and Diego Biglay.
The reports, sent by the Abra Provincial Police Office, said the three were on board a black XRM motorcyle at a gasoline station on Rizal street in Bangued town when they were attacked by unidentified suspects at around 7 pm.
The suspects, reportedly on board on a style unknown type of vehicle, quickly fled after the shooting while the victims were rushed to the Abra Provincial hospital, but were declared dead on arrival. Anthony Vargas
