LEDAC nagkasundo sa pagpapaliban ng ARMM election

INIHAYAG ni Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile na nagkasundo ang Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC) na ipagpaliban ang halalan sa Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).

Sa panayam, sinabi ni Enrile na kapag naplantsa na ni Pangulong Benigno Aquino III ang plano sa ilang kongresista sa ARMM, lilikha na ng isang patakaran ang Palasyo kung ano ang gagawin sa kasalukuyang opisyal na nakaupo sa rehiyon.

“We also held a discussion on that. That was one of the matters in the agenda and there was a consensus to postpone it. The only question is what will happen to the positions, whether there will be a hold-over or new appointments. The President agreed to meet with the members of the House of Representatives coming from ARMM to discuss this,” giit ni Enrile.

Inihayag pa ni Enrile na isa ang ARMM election postponement sa magiging prayoridad na batas na nakatakdang ihain ng Palasyo sa Kongreso bukod pa sa 22 iba pang panukala na nakapila bilang priority bills ng administrasyon na susuportahan ng Senado.

“That (postponemtn) is one of the most urgent bills to be tackled by Congress,” ani Enrile.

Tiniyak pa ni Enrile sa Palasyo na susuportahan ng Senado ang lahat ng priority bills partikular ang pagpapaliban sa halalan sa ARMM dahil makabubuti ito sa bansa.

“I took the position that we will support the President on those bills because they are worthy bills to be considered and I believe that they will be very beneficial for the country,” patapos niya. Ernie Reyes
