Parusahan si Gen. Angelo Reyes – Miriam Santiago

Francis Escudero, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada at Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV mula sa pagdinig ukol sa multi-milyong anomalya na nagsasangkot kay Reyes at iba pang nakalipas na hepe ng Amred Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

“This is a joint denial of the Motion to Inhibit filed by counsel for the witness Gen. Angelo Reyes in the ongoing public hearing on military corruption.  We deny the motion,” ayon kay Santiago.

“In filing this motion, counsel (Alentajan) merely manifests his gross ignorance of the law,” ayon kay Santiago.

Dagdap pa niya: “The motion is a foolish attempt to restrict the power to conduct inquiries in aid of legislation, specifically granted by the Constitution.  Thus, the motion is unconstitutional.”

Inihain din ni Santiago ang “motion to cite contempt” laban kina Reyes dahil sa pagsisinungaling umano nito na isang paglabag sa Section 18 ng Rules of Procedures ng Senado.

“We jointly move under Senate Rules of Procedure, Section 18, that the (Blue Ribbon) committee, by majority vote, should punish for contempt the witness, Gen. Angelo Reyes, because he testified falsely and evasively by answering, ‘I cannot remember’ to significant questions,” giit ni Santiago.  Ernie Reyes
