Police nabbed suspect in Valentine’s Day massacre in Cainta
MANILA, Philippines – police have arrested on Tuesday afternoon the main suspect in the grizzly massacre of a family of four persons in Cainta, Rizal on Valentines Day during follow-up operation in Marinduque, police reports said Wednesday.
Reports reaching Camp Crame said the suspect, Fortunato “Jun-Jun” Azibar Jr., was tracked down by police operatives from Rizal at a resort at Brgy. Buliasmin and Maligaya in Boac, Marinduque.
The suspect was brought to the Boac Municipal Police station where he will be briefly detained before being brought back to Cainta, Rizal where the massacre took place on Sunday evening.
The massacre was only discovered on early Monday morning after the bloodied bodies of the victims, identified as Amado Anzibar Sr., and his wife Elizabeth and their children Pretchie and Amado Jr., were discovered by their neighbors.
The victims neighbor told police that the victims and the suspect had a heated argument on late Sunday night inside the Anzibar’s home in Alley 88, Lakas Tao, Wetbank Floodway in Brgy. San Andres, Cainta, Rizal. Anthony Vargas
