Reyes’ remains to arrive at Camp Aguinaldo Friday
AT EXACTLY high noon Friday, the remains of former Armed Forces chief Angelo Reyes will arrive at Camp Gen. Emilio Aguindaldo’s St. Ignatius chapel for full military honors and eulogy.
Lt. Col. Arnulfo Burgos Jr., AFP public affairs chief, said there were slight changes in the scheduled transfer of Reyes’ remains from Arlington chapel to St. Ignatius chapel, where the former defense chief will be accorded military honors.
From Arlington, Reyes’ remains will pass Ramon Magsaysay High School, the late general’s alma mater, according to Burgos.
It is a military tradition to provide military honors to members of the AFP as a ceremonial paying of respect and its final demonstration of the country’s gratitude for the services they rendered for the nation.
Interment will be on Sunday at Libingan ng mga Bayani at Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
