Reyes wake to be transferred to Camp Aguinaldo
MANILA, Philippines – the wake for Angelo Reyes might be transferred on Thursday to Camp Aguinaldo where he once served as former military chief and defense secretary, a military spokesman said Wednesday.
Military spokesman, Brig. General Jose Mabanta said that they are in touch with the family of the late military and defense chief for his remains be transferred to Camp Aguinaldo before he is laid to rest this Sunday.
The military spokesman said that the military type of necrological service is being accorded to all former military chief of staffs and the burying of their remains at the Libingan ng mga Bayani at Fort Bonifacio.
Once the familiy accepts the officer, the military spokesman said appropriate military honors will be given to Reyes such as 19 gun-salute, flower drop by helicopters and sets of pall bearers on the arrival of his remain at Camp Aguinaldo.
Reyes died early Tuesday from what police says was a self-inflicted gunshot wound on his left chest.
