Suspect in Maguindanao massacre nabbed
ANOTHER wanted suspect in the infamous Maguindanao massacre was arrested by the joint police and military operatives in a remote village in Maguindanao on Monday morning, February 28.
The massacre suspect, identified as Sali alias Abdulla Abdulkahar was nabbed at his house in Brgy. Limpongo, Datu Hoffer town in Maguindnao at around 10:45 a.m. according to reports reaching Camp Crame.
Reports said the suspect was nabbed by joint elements of the ARMM-CIDG, Datu Hoffer Municipal Police office and elements of the Army’s 45th Infantry Battalion based in Maguindanao province.
Sali is the 87th out of the 195 suspects in the massacre to be arrested by the police. He was nabbed based on a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Jocelyn Solis-Reyes of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court.
The suspect, who carries a P250,000 reward for his arrest, is now under the custody of the ARMM-CIDG for proper disposition before being turned over to the QCRTC that is hearing the massacre case.
Former Ampatuan town Mayor Andal Ampatuan Jr. and his father, former Maguindanao governor, Andal Ampatuan Sr., led the 195 suspects facing charges for the Maguindanao massacre.
The government is tracking down the other 109 suspects who remain at large. Anthony Vargas
