Rebels burn 2 buses in Biliran; two killed
TWO persons died after seven armed men believed to be communist rebels torched two passenger buses in a remote village in Biliran Saturday afternoon, March 5 police reports said.
The incident occurred at around 1 p.m. in Barangay Talahid in Almeria town.
The reports said the suspects burned two passenger buses owned by Silver Star company, in the process killing two people and damaging properties worth P14 million.
Two of the seven suspects were arrested by responding policemen and are now undergoing investigation, reports said. Anthony Vargas
