Botohan sa RH bill tiniyak ni Belmonte

TINIYAK ni House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte na magbobotohan ang Kamara de Representantes ukol sa kontrobersyal na Reproductive Health and Responsible Parenthood Bill kahit maraming mambabatas ang hindi pa malinaw kung ano ang kanilang posisyon dito.

“My own thinking here is that we should let it reach the point that it should actually be voted upon and let the members decide where they are. Right now, I would say that the big percentage of the members have been silent on their own positions. It’s their privilege to be silent but if it reaches the point that it should be voted on third reading, then everybody has to show their card,” ani Belmonte.

Nauna rito ay umapela si Belmonte sa mga kritiko ng RH bill, kabilang ang simbahang katoliko, na itigil na ang pagbabansag sa mga taga-suporta ng panukala.

Ayon kay Belmonte nakakadismaya ang mga paratang o bansag kay Pangulong Benigno “PNoy” Aquino na “anti-Kristo.

Ikinairita rin ni Belmonte ang payo ni retired Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Oscar Cruz kay Pangulong Aquino na huwag ng mag-asawa.

Ganito rin ang opinyon nina Gabriela party-list Rep. Luzvimina Ilagan and Akbayan party-list Rep. Arlene “Kaka” Bag-ao sa pagsasabing may karapatan din si Aquino na mag-asawa at lumigaya.

“I think love and marriage will come in due time for PNoy.  We should let him be. Set ways or not, only PNoy can determine his fate,” ayon kay Ilagan. Meliza Maluntag
