Judson F. Herbilla, Sr. na, “The Committee on Social Issues and Environment Concerns (SIEC) of the Convention of Philippine Baptist Churches, convening on October 12, 2010, at the CPBC National Headquarters, joins the many voices that support the ‘Reproductive Health and Population and Development Act of 2008.’”

Binanggit din sa statement of support ng CPBC na pinagtibay sa 52nd General Assembly noong October 12, 2010 na “respect and support (of) the freedom and responsibility of every person to make decisions for his (or her) life according to the dictates of his (or her) conscience based upon insights provided by science, medicine and technology…(and believes) it is our responsibility to enlighten the human conscience with truths derived from the Scriptures and proven by our experience of the life of faith in God.”

“We call on our legislators to speed up the passage of this bill. We call on the government to always put the interest of our people high in its priorities, and to never sacrifice it by bowing down to demands and pressures from those that may see it as another opportunity for selfish gains, especially the international drug companies that stand to gain from these transactions.”

Meliza Maluntag
