PNP forms task group to investigate Pilar Pilapil case
THE PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) has formed a Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) on Friday that would handle the carjacking case where former beauty queen and TV actress, Pilar Pilapil, was seriously wounded.
PNP Spokesman, Chief Supt. Agrimero Cruz, Jr., said that PNP Chief, Director General Raul Bacalzo has issued the order for the formation of the SITG to immediately solve the case involving the veteran TV actress.
The PNP spokesman said the SITG will be composed of elements from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO) and the Rizal Provincial Police Office (RPPO).
The 60-year old former beauty queen and TV actress and her companion, Rossel Rosalem, were reportedly abducted by two armed men while they were onboard a Kia Sedan parked at the Marikina City Riverbank,
Pilapil was stabbed several times by still unknown suspects before she was dumped in a grassy lot in Antipolo City. A concerned citizen saw her and called the Antipolo City police office for assistance.
The actress was immediately taken by an ambulance to a nearby hospital in Antipolo City before being transferred to Medical City Hospital in Pasig City. Anthony Vargas
