Known terrorist hiding in RP
THE Western Mindanao Command seeks the public’s help in tracking down known terrorist Zulkifli Abdhir, who has a $5 million bounty on his head.
He is believed to be hiding in Mindanao.
AFP Western Mindanao Command Spokesman Lt. Col. Randolf Cabangbang disclosed that Abdhir was placed on the US State Department’s most wanted list in 2003.
Abdhir is known to be a senior member of several criminal groups in the Southern Philippines with links to al Qaeda. In 2007, a U.S. federal court indicted Abdhir on terrorism-related charges.
Reports said he has been hiding in Southern Philippines since August 2003.
A Malaysian citizen, Abdhir stands at 168 cm and weighs 55 kg. He has black hair and brown eyes. He has been known to go by the aliases of Marwan, Zulkifli Abd Hir and Zulkifli Bin Abdul Hir.
Abdhir’s presence in the country represents one of the leading destabilizing elements for the public.
The U.S. Rewards For Justice Program is offering a payment of up to $5 million (US) for information leading to the capture of Abdhir.
