Korean on honeymoon trip drowns in Boracay
MANILA, Philippines – a Korean national drowned on late Sunday afternoon while on his honeymoon trip in Boracay Island, police reports said.
Reports reaching the PNP central operations center in Camp Crame on Monday identified the Korean who drowned in Boracay as Guang Su Choi, 32-years old of Seoul, South Korea.
The reports said that the Korean went for a swim on late Sunday afternoon, but was seen several minutes later by his wife floating in the waters.
The Korean’s unidentified wife immediately sought the help of the beach lifeguards who tried to revive Guang and was brought to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on arrival, reports said.
The reports said that the police in Boracay had already sent a notice to the Korean embassy regarding the fate of Guang whose body is being readied for a flight back to Manila before returning to his homeland.
