PBA All-Stars and Beauty Queens compete in Creality Race Adventure
EXPECT action to heat up on the beach when the PBA stars compete in the Creality Race Adventure 2011, another event spicing up the PBA All-Star extravaganza in Boracay Island this weekend.
Nine teams, each composed of two PBA players and one Mutya ng Pilipinas candidate, will take on various physical and mental challenges in the two-day adventure race starting on May 21.
“This is the Philippine version of the US reality show ‘Amazing Race’,” said Carlo Quevada, the Rain Or Shine alternate governor also serving as Cre8 Events Asia president and CEO.
Quevada said the race serves as an aperitif for the North versus South All-Star game, the main event of the five-day PBA showcase dubbed “Hala Bola” at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday (May 22), at the Boracay Eco-Village Resort and Convention Center.
“On the court and off the court, we want it to be fun for the players,” Quevada said during the orientation with the PBA stars and beauty queens on Monday night at the Eastwood Richmonde Hotel in Libis.
Cash prizes, plaques and giveaways await the top three teams of the race supported by L Time Studio, Puma Time, PC Gilmore Computer Center, Platinum Executive Gym and Spa Center, Island Souvenir, Casa Pilar and Epic Bar.
The Creality Race, with Patricia Bermudez-Hizon serving as event host, features 15 pit stops where teams will compete in tasks testing their agility, speed, strength and wit.
Proceeds of the race will go to Gawad Kalinga.
“The PBA is a good vehicle for helping the many,” said Quevada.
Cre8 Events Asia, the official event host partner of the PBA All-Stars, conceptualized the Creality Race that will stage more legs this year in Pampanga, Cebu, Bacolod and Manila.
