Palmer Mallari sinamapahan sa sala ni Parañaque City Public Prosecutor Lamberto Fabros ang 36 sa 38 Chinese nationals kaugnay sa paglabag sa Section 9 ng Republic Act 8484 (or an act regulating the issuance and use of access devices and prohibiting their fraudulent use).

Itinakda ang preliminary investigation sa Agosto 2.

“The foreign suspects were being detained at the NBI headquarters while the preliminary investigation is on-going,” ayon kay Mallari.

“They have been operating in the country for at least four months now. It was a follow-up operation to the raid we had conducted last December,” ayon pa kay Mallaari.

“The tipster told us the whereabouts of those who escaped last December’s raid conducted by the NBI Anti Fraud Division. He was complaining that the suspects took his airconditioner,” dagdag pa ng opisyal.
