Bitoon, Barbosa salo sa liderato sa Myanmar Chess Meet

GINIBA ni IM Richard Bitoon si FM San Thit Lwin ng Myanmar habang nagwagi naman si IM Oliver Barbosa kay IM Myo Naing ng Myanmar sa pair of  exciting Philippines versus Myanmar matches  tungo sa liderato sa third  round  ng  the Campomanes Memorial Yangon International Open Chess Championship 2011 sa Central Hotel Bogyoke Aung San Road sa Yangon, Myanmar.

Sina Bitoon at Barbosa ay may perfect scores of three points sa tough, 9 round competition organized ng Myanmar Chess Federation and Myanmar Sports and Physical Education Department, bilang pag  honor at comemorate kay the late FIDE Emeritus Florencio Campomanes.

Una rito, ang Medellin, Cebu native Bitoon ay giniba si Khore Bean Hwa ng Malaysia at Myint Han ng Myanmar habang nagwagi ang Taytay, Rizal native Barbosa kay Zaw Win at Nyi Nyi Lwin ng Myanmar.

May three points sa champion tatanggap ng $3,000 U.S dollars ay sina IM Nguyen Van Huy ng Vietnam, IM Atanhu Lahiri ng India at IM Shen Siyuan ng China.

Hindi naman pinalad si Reigning Philippine Junior Champion FM Mari Joseph Turqueza natalo sa kanyang third round match kay IM Nguyen Van Huy ng Vietnam. Ang pride ng V. Luna chess club ay napako sa  2 points. Tinaloo niya muna ay sina La Pyae Min at Than Min Hlaing ng Myanmar.
