30 DBP officials, didikdikin sa behest loan probe

IPINATAWAG ng Senate Blue Ribbon Committee ang 40 indibiduwal kabilang ang 30 matataas na kasalukuyan at dating opisyal ng Development Bank of the  Philippines (DBP) upang magbigay linaw sa multi-milyong behest  loan sa pribadong kompanya.

Sa ipinalabas na media advisory kanina, sinabi ni Sen. Teofisto Guingona III na ipinatawag ng komite ang matataas na opisyal ng DBP kabilang ang Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) Securities and Exchange Commission at Philippine Stocks Exchange upang simulan ang imbestigasyon sa maanomalyang pautang ng nakaraang administrasyon sa DBP.

Sinabi ni Guingona na sisimulan ang unang pagdinig sa sinasabing large scale financial transaction na kinasasangkutan ng ilang behest loan na inaprubahan ng DBP sa iba’t ibang pribadong kompanya na konektado kay Roberto Ongpin.

Kilala si Ongpin bilang malapit na kaibigan ni dating first gentleman Mike Arroyo na nauna nang nasangkot sa maanomalyang bentahan ng lumang helicopter sa Philippine National Police (PNP) noong 2009 sa halagang P15 milyon.

Itinakda ang pagdinig sa Biyernes, October 7, 2011, dakong alas 9:00 ng umaga.

Nanguna sa tentative guest list si  Gilda E. Pico, president and chief executive officer ng  Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) at Atty. Teresita Herbosa, chairperson of SEC.

Tetestigo naman si Atty. Ma. Gracia M. Pulido Tan, chairperson of the commission on Audit (COA).
