DSWD official killed in Makati City ambush
AN OFFICIAL from the Department of Social Welfare Development (DSWD) was killed by motorcycle-riding gunmen on early Wednesday morning in Makati City.
PNP spokesman, Chief Supt. Agrimero Cruz Jr., quoting reports from coming from the office in charge of the Makati City police, identified the victim as Mila Dumaguit, 52, an assistant chief of the DSWD.
Cruz said the victim along with her driver, June del Pilar, were on board an L300 van when two motorcycle riding gunmen opened fire at them at around 6:45 a.m. at Tanay st., corner Osmena st., in Brgy. Valenzuela, Makati City.
The two were rushed by witnesses to the nearest hospital, where Dumanguit was declared dead on arrival while del Pilar was placed in critical condition due to multiple gunshot wound.
The Makati City police are now investigating the incident to determine the identity of the suspects and the motive of the attack. Anthony Vargas
