Francine Prieto gustong driver ay di gutumin.. hahahaha!

NAKU, Kuya Pete, if this item on Francine Prieto does not scare the daylights out of you ay ewan ko na lang.

Talk about hiring a driver. Kunsabagay, kahit naman sinong artista—even if he or she has the license to drive—would need a driver sa kanyang pang-araw-araw na trabaho.

Isa lang yata ang kilala naming artista who drives herself to her work assignments, si Eugene Domingo na nanghihinayang sa ipangsusuweldo niya sa driver (Uge has successfully managed to go managerless out of sheer panghihinayang sa 20% off her net earnings, why couldn’t she do away with a guy behind her wheels?).

Too high as they are too simple, in fact. Ang major requirement kasi niya sa kukuning drayber: hindi raw ito dapat matakaw, as in gutumin (accent on the last syllable) or possessing active hungry pangs. Teka muna, paano ba tinatrato noon ni Francine ang mga namasukang drayber sa kanya?

Ang kinakain ba niya sa set ng taping ay siya rin bang nilalantakan ng kanyang driver? Or would she give just enough amount para sa meal allowance nito kesehodang pa-morning-an ang trabaho niya?

Look, who’s talking? With Francine’s overweight—perhaps caused by excessive food intake—tulad ng kasabihang “Ang magnanakaw, galit sa kapwa magnanakaw,” imbiyerna rin ba ang hitad sa kapwa niya P.G.?

Oooppps, I don’t mean Patay-Gutom…but rather Parang Glutton.

XXXX

SPEAKING of gluttons, mukhang lalo pang darami ang mga mahihilig lumafang once Gelli de Belen’s daily morning program on TV5 kicks off on November 7.

Aptly titled Gellicious, isa itong food magazine show kung saan gagalugarin ni Gelli ang mga resto, carinderia at lahat ng uri ng kainan in a taking a peek into how their specialty dishes are prepared. A far cry from the instructional cooking show like that of her Ate Janice’s Spoon, Gellicious’ thrust is anchored on showcasing the gastronomic pride of Pinoy cooking.

Yes, Kuya Pete, this is the show’s contribution to our culture, tayong mga Pinoy who love to eat and love to try what seem like strange dishes. For sure, in one of its episodes ay hindi mawawala ang pride ng Bicolandia lalo’t na mga lutuing may gata bago pa maubos ni Madonna ang mga puno ng niyog sa buong Pilipinas!

Asked which food Gelli can compare her husband Ariel Rivera to? “Hmmm, kare-kare. Kasi, ang kare-kare, very rich. Maraming sangkap na gulay. You eat it with bagoong, and of course, you can’t eat without rice.”

Eh, kumusta naman ang “luto ng Diyos”? Gelli is now 38 while Ariel is forty-something, is it just as delectable? “Naman!” sagot ni Gelli without batting an eyelash. “Pero please, sa amin na lang ‘yon ng dyowa ko!”
