PCSO to hold medical mission, relief distribution
PHILIPPINE Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Jose Ferdinand M. Rojas II on Saturday said the PCSO will be conducting medical mission and relief assistance in various flood-affected areas in Central Luzon next week.
Rojas said this is in consonance with the PCSO’s mandate concerning medical and health-related activities and charities of national character.
The schedule for the medical mission are the following: In Paralaya, Candaba, Pampanga on Oct. 11; San Simon, Pampanga on Oct. 12; San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija on Oct. 13; and Masantol and Macabebe, Pampnanga on Oct. 14.
This will include also the distribution of medicines for the flood victims afflicted with illnesses. Also, the charity institution in partnership with Bulacan 3rd District Rep. Joselito Mendoza will be distributing 600 sacks of rice worth P750,000 in Calumpit, Hagonoy, and Paombong municipalities.
The rice assistance will also go to Pampanga and Pangasinan. The PCSO will also be distributing 139 ready-to-eat (RTE) meal packs worth a total of P150,000.
Rojas said this is the PCSO’s way of augmenting the government’s assistance effort for the victims of typhoons “Pedring” and “Quiel” and the massive flooding that they have caused.
