‘Sa Ngalan Ng Ina,’ a big hit; Cristy Fermin nagpapaawa

CALL it what you will but the initial telecast of TV5 “Sa Ngalan Ng Ina” is a big, big hit! Proofs are the college students, particularly from PUP, who were glued on their TV sets and then declared – quality is back in the Philippine TV drama! And who will argue with that? With the great ensemble of great acting led by Superstar Nora Aunor and with the master direction of Mario O’Hara in SNNI, nothing compares.

The only trouble is the poor reception of TV5, sabi ng ibang nakapanood sa parteng Batangas, Laguna at Quezon.

Walang duda, SNNI dominates the primetime these days.

Oy, wherever you look, it’s a plain katryaduran!

Those are very damaging and libelous! Wala si Nora to defend herself. Ano pa bang tawag dyan? Treachery to the max, stupid!”

(She admitted in print that her blind items were really for Nora and John though. Oh well, thanks for your self-incriminating statement!) Ow come on, we have files of your damaging articles to prove that you have been rehashing your evil schemes every now and then!

You don’t bite the hands of someone feeding you not unless you feel like a dog! Oh yes, writing for some people has really gone to the dogs…

Oh really! And what what do you have say to Channel 2, Boy Abunda, Kris Aquino, and a host of others? Now, you may go huff and puff till you blow your guts out, but listen to this – Nora Aunor is an institution and will leave a great legacy to the movie industry and show business as well!

Ano ang iiwan ng iba? Ang legacy ng paninira? Aba, kasalanan sa Diyos ang manira! Instead, magturo ng kabutihan and love our fellowmen, and not to destroy. We should be Godly enough in our services to go to heaven.

Tapos na ang isyu. Sabi nga ni Atty. Ray C. Espinosa, Channel 5 President,“Ms. Nora Aunor never asked me or TV5 to choose between her and Cristy Fermin.

There is absolutely no truth to this RUMOR.”

Fr. Rolando V. dela Rosa, Bishop Ted Bacani, Justice Secretary Leila de Lima, former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Isabela Governor Grace Padaca, Sto. Tomas, Batangas Mayor Edna P. Sanchez, top film directors Zenaida Amador, Lupita Aquino-Kashiwara, Mario O’Hara, Maryo J. delos Reyes, Joel Lamangan, Celso Ad. Springer, Pio de Castro III, Rolando Tinio, Cecille Guidote-Alvarez, Norma Japitana, Wilson Lee Flores, Patrick Flores, Gerard Ramos, Tito Valiente, Art Padua, Alfie Lorenzo, Art Tapalla, artists Charito Solis, Boy Abunda, Charo Santos, Gloria Diaz, Boots Anson Roa, Dolphy, Joel Torre, Ces Drilon, Ogie Alcasid, Gary Valenciano, Gary Estrada, Anita Linda, Caridad Sanchez, Celia Rodriquez, Perla Bautista, Marissa Delgado, Nida Blanca, Johnny Delgado, Eugene Domingo, Sarah Geronimo, Judy Ann Santos, Angel Locsin, Janice de Belen, KC Concepcion, Dingdong Dantes, Coco Martin, Maja Salvador, Dennis Laurel, Allan de Guzman, etc.. Global singer Lea Salonga says it best – “Every time, I am star-struck in seeing one not aware of her genius – she’s none other than Superstar Nora Aunor.”
