Utak wang-wang, utak pulbura
MY favorite opinion writer, being hard-hitting yet dazzling that is Tribune’s Niñez Cacho-Olivarez hits right the “cherry” anew, Well as usual, the “student council-like” government of President Benigno Simeon ‘Noynoy’ Aquino III who abhors such “utak wang-wang” attitude of many.
Just to echo her views on VIP (very important person) mentality, PNoy has
the penchant for branding the corrupt-prone former Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo administration especially its officials of their utak wang-wang attitude but the present Palace tenants would easily absolve their equally abusive
allies of any malfeasance or misfeasance as if nothing happens.
Take for instance the case of PNoy’s presidential adviser Ronaldo Llamas whose sports utility vehicle that recently fi-gured in a vehicular accident had yielded not only handguns but high-powered firearms specifically an AK-47.
While PNoy’s mouthpiece Secretary Edwin Lacierda would quickly clear the Office of the Presidential Adviser of any wrongdoing saying he’s abroad and that only his security details were involved. who by the way were already sacked, well obviously to save face, Llamas is now claiming he has death threats and that all firearms were duly registered.
But as everybody knows, any officials’ escorts are permitted to carry with them only registered handguns not high-powered firearms.
There’s no doubt as to the glaring abuses committed under his predecessor’s time.
But it appears the Arroyo regime did not have the monopoly of it as the government people close to PNoy do practice the same bad things.
