PNP hints another suspect in Ramgen case to surface
PHILIPPINE NATIONAL POLICE (PNP) chief, Director General Nicanor Bartolome on Wednesday night threw his backing on the investigation of the Parañaque City Police in the controversial Ramgen Revilla murder case.
During a forum hosted by the Manila Overseas Press Club (MOPC), the PNP chief emphasizes that the investigation conducted by the Parañaque City police on the Ramgen Revilla case were done by the book.
Bartolome also hinted that the case maybe called case solved soon as another suspect in the controversial killing of the young actor and son of former Senator Ramon Revilla Sr., has sent her surrender feelers.
The PNP chief said that although the Ramgen Revilla murder case is a high profile case, it can still be considered only as an isolated incident and does not truly reflect the overall picture of crime volume in the country.
“Most of those that happened later are high profile, so it will get a picture that its very high – but if we go by the stats, its bnot really increasing – nagkasabay-sabay lang yun hi-profile cases,” Bartolome said.
The PNP chief added.”This is an isolated incident and the PNP squarely supports Parañaque City police investigation of the Ramgen case and we are confident of successful and speedy solution of this case.”
Earlier, the camp of one of the ‘princial’ suspect Ramon Joseph Bautista, Ramgen’s younger brother, claimed that he was illegally arrested by the police, while another another suspect, Ramona Revilla left the country.
