5 wounded in Cotabato blast
AT LEAST five people were wounded after a powerful blast rocked a small village in Cotabato province on Friday evening (December 23), police reports said today.
Camp Crame reports said the explosion caused by an improvised explosive device (IED), occurred at around 7 p.m. at the corner of Malvar and Aglipay streets in Kabakan town of the said province.
Five people who were within the vicinity of explosion site, which shattered glass windows, were wounded as a result of the explosion, reports said.
The reports said that the wounded victims were brought to Kabakan Hospital and Amas Provincial Hospital for medical treatment.
Personnel of the Kabakan Municipal Police station are investigating the said incident, which could be a handiwork of some rogue elements. Anthony Vargas
