German found dead inside his home in Bago City – PNP
MANILA, Philippines – A seventy two year-old German national was stabbed to death by still unidentified suspects inside his home in a remote village in Bago City, Negros Occidental on Monday morning, police reports said Tuesday.
Reports reaching the PNP operations center in Camp Crame said that the body of Herman Knitz, was found by his wife, Ranela Knitz, inside their room at their house at Palanca Subd., in Barangay Poblacion, Bago City.
The reports said the victim, who has been staying in Bago City for the past two months, bore eight stabbed wounds in different parts of his body and a stab wound on his head.
The reports added that the victim’s wife left their house last Sunday and returned home Monday morning only to find the bloodied body of her husband.
Initial investigation revealed that there was no sign of forced entry, but the victim’s key to his vault and his wallet were missing, though no other valuables were allegedly taken by the suspects, reports said.
Police are still conducting an investigation over the said incident.
