IED explodes, another one discovered in Cotabato– PNP
MANILA, Philippines – An improvised explosive device (IED) went off Thursday night along the national highway in a remote village in Kabacan town in Cotabato, but injuring no one, police reports said on Friday.
Reports reaching Camp Crame said the explosion happened on a road at the boundary of barangays Osias and Katidtuan, some 30 meters away from the highway, around 7:30 p.m.
While a second IED fashioned out from a 81 mm mortar round, two improvised blasting caps, and a cellular phone, and was marked with the words “Bangsamoro Youth Movement,” reports said.
The reports said that a similar explosive device with the same markings was recovered by police near the Polomolok National High School in South Cotabato last December 26.
