Trader shot dead in Caloocan City – police
MANILA, Philippines – A businessman was shot dead by three suspected hitmen late Thursday night in Caloocan City and took away some of his personnal belongings, police reports said Friday.
Initial reports reaching Camp Crame said that Laurence Segui, 39 was on his way home when he was shot in the back by the still unidentified suspects, which include a woman at around 9 p.m. on Tambakan St., in Baranagay 35.
After shooting the victim, witnesses said that the suspects reportedly took three mobilephones, cash and other valuables of the victim before casually walking away from the crime scene, reports said.
The reports said that reponding policemen from Caloocan City police have recovered from the crime scene an empty shell of a .45 caliber pistol.
Police are now investigating the said incident.
