P3M worth of marijuana seized in Kalinga
MANILA, Philippines – Anti-narcotics authorities on Monday evening have seized some P3 million worth of marijuana bricks and arrested a lone suspect at a checkpoint in Tabuk City, Kalinga, reports said.
Reports sent to Camp Crame by the Cordillera Police regional police office, identified the suspect as a certain Alex Driver.
The reports said that Cordillera Police were conducting a checkpoint along Sitio Luyucan, Barangay Lacnog in Tabuk City at around 7 p.m. when a Daewoo sedan (TLM 760), driven by Paner was flagged down.
During inspection, about five boxes, containing some 125 bricks of dried marijuana worth at least P3.125 million were found inside the vehicle.
The reports said, Paner was immediately arrested, while the seized items were brought to the Kalinga Police Crime Laboratory for examination.
