Robbers take P1.5M from shipping firm in CDO

THREE unidentified armed men carted away some P1.5 million in cash after robbing on Wednesday (January 11) a shipping firm in disaster stricken Cagayan de Oro City, police reports said today.

Reports reaching PNP Operations center said, the APL Shipping Lines near Bombo Radyo station on Corrales st. of said city was robbed by three armed men.

The suspects entered the shipping firm’s office at around 10 a.m. and overpowered, disarmed and took the security guard’s issued .38 caliber revolver and shotgun.

After disarming the guard, the suspects quickly ransacked the vault and carted away of some P1.572 millions in cold cash.

The elements of the Cagayan de Oro City Police are investigating the said incident and identifying the suspects. Anthony Vargas
