$2.048M natanggap ng 281 Pinoy crew ng ‘Costa Concordia’

NAKATANGGAP ng $2.048 milyong benepisyo ang may 281 Filipino seafarers mula sa tumagilid na Italian cruise ship na “Costa Concordia” noong nakalipas na buwan.

Ang nasabing benepisyo ng Filipino crew members ay naayos kasunod ng Single Entry Approach (SENA) conciliation-mediation program ng Department of Labor and Employment (Dole).

Sa isang news release ng  labor department, nakatanggap umano ang 281 mula sa 291 crew ng nasabing barko ng kanilang tseke na  umaabot sa $553 hanggang $12,610 bawat isa ayon sa National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB).

Ang iba pang crew ay nasa kani-kanilang probinsya pa at hindi pa nagpapakita sa NCMB offices upang tanggapin ang kanilang tseke.

“We happily note that the Filipino crew of the Costa Concordia has benefitted from one of the DOLE’s flagship reform programs, the 30-day conciliation-mediation services under the SENA, which is now being implemented nationwide to all labor issues.
