Gunmen rescue detainee in hospital

FOUR unidentified gunmen on Sunday afternoon (February 12) daringly rescued an inmate being treated for a gunshot wound in a hospital in Kidapawan City.

Reports reaching Camp Crame said that the daring rescue took place at around 1:45 p.m. on Sunday at the Amas Provincial Hospital in Amas, Kidapawan City, North Cotabato.

The reports said that the four gunmen barged inside the hospital and proceeded to the medical ward where inmate Randy Ogad is being treated for gunshot wound infection on his leg.

Ogad is a detainee of Kidapawan City Jail and facing charges of frustrated homicide and illegal possession of firearms.

The four gunmen quickly disarmed the BJMP jail escorts of Ogad and escaped on motorcycles and fled to unknown direction, the reports said.

Joint elements of the BJMP and Cotabato City Police office are now conducting pursuit for the recapture of the detainee and arrest of the suspects. Anthony Vargas
