P2M worth of illicit substance destroyed

POLICE authorities destroyed last Wednesday (February 15) more than P2million worth of illicit substance during eradication operations in a remote hinterland village of Benguet, police reports said today.

Reports in Camp Crame said elements of the Kibungan Municipal Public Station conducted marijuana eradication operations late Wednesday afternoon at Sitio Napitak, Brgys. Poblacion, Tacadang and Palina in Kibungan town.

During the said operations, police were able to uproot and destroyed 3,350 fully grown marijuana plants worth at least P670, 000, reports said.

The reports added that authorities also confiscated from the site some 11 marijuana bricks weighing 11kilos and three sacks of marijuana leaves weighing 30 kilos worth P1.7 million.
