6 armed men steal P3.6M from Bacolod power coop

MANILA, Philippines – Six unidentified men were able to cart-away some P3.6 million after robbing an electric cooperative office in Bacolod City Friday morning, police reports said.

Initial reports in Camp Crame said robbed by the suspects was the main office of the Central Negros Electric Cooperative Office (CENECO) at Gonzaga-Mabini St., Barangay 26, Bacolod City.

The reports said six armed men barged inside the CENECO office and quickly disarmed the three security guards.

The suspects then took from the office some P3.6 million in cash before escaping towards unknown direction on board a motorcycle.

Police are now conducting hot pursuit and dragnet operations against the suspects.
