TRO sa dollar account ni Corona, ipinababasura

NAIS ni Senator-Judge Franklin Drilon sa Korte Suprema na tanggalin na ang inilabas na temporary restraining order (TRO) na humahadlang sa pagbubukas ng mga dollar accounts ni Chief Justice Renato Corona.

Ito ang naging panawagan ni Drilon kasunod ng pahayag ni Corona na nakahanda siyang buksan ang kanyang mga bank accounts kabilang na ang foreign currency deposits sa pagbabalik ng impeachment trial sa Lunes.

“The TRO preventing the opening of dollar accounts of the Chief Justice has, in effect, become moot and academic since Corona said he was willing to divulge his dollar accounts,” ani Drilon.

Binigyang diin ni Drilon, dahil pumayag na ang may-ari ng bank accounts na busisiin ang kanyang bangko ay wala nang dahilan para pigilin ito ng Korte Suprema.

“Kung yung may-ari nga ng account ay handang ipakita yung kanyang bank accounts, kasama ang dollar deposits, bakit pa kailangang pigilan ito ng Supreme Court,” dagdag pa ng senador.

Nabatid na inilabas ang TRO ng Korte Suprema sa botong 8-5 matapos itong hilingin ng PSBank kaugnay sa pag-subpoena ng impeachment court.
